PTSA GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Please join us for the EPHS PTSA General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 5:00 in the EPHS Auditorium. At the meeting we will be electing a Nominating Committee to slate next year's executive officers. Nominations for individuals to serve on the Nominating Committee will be taken from the floor (3 members and 1 alternate).

Nominees are not required to be in attendance; however, they must be current members of the PTSA and need to have agreed to have served before being nominated.

This semester is busy and exciting as we look towards Spring Fiesta and Project Graduation. Please come be a part of it all!

Dear Parents,

As we come upon college application deadlines, there are a couple of reminders.  Please help your child remember these guidelines for their applications.

1  Transcript requests must be submitted to the registrar two weeks prior to the application deadline.  El Paso High School cannot guarantee that transcripts will be received in a timely manner if this policy is not followed.  Requesting transcripts the day before the deadline makes it very difficult to meet application deadlines.

2  If your child has a college application deadline for January 1, please remind him/her that all requests to counselors and teachers for school reports and letters of recommendations must be done by December 2 in order to ensure that the college receives the information prior to the deadline.  School personnel may not have access to email over winter break.

3  College applications should be submitted at least 5 days prior to the deadline.  Waiting until the deadline will almost guarantee difficulty in submitting applications as websites often crash because of high volume traffic.

Seniors have been informed of these policies during class presentations and individual meetings with counselors and the College Readiness Coordinator.  Please see attachment for information handed out during Senior Interviews.

EPHS 100 PTSA BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT IS A HUGE SUCCESS.

Thank you to all the donors, volunteers and other supporters who helped make our EPHS 100 PTSA Beautification Project a huge success. Because of all your help, the school looks beautiful and will be ready for our Centennial. Below is a picture that shows the changes we made to the Press Box Area. Please come by EPHS sometime and see what a difference we made to the rest of the campus. Thank you all, Tricia Jay - EPHS 100 PTSA Beautification Project Chair.
